Using bright colors and enduring materials, these mosaic artworks combine natural but stylized forms with playful images of people exercising. The clinic is located in a food desert therefore the design reflects the health clinic's efforts to promote healthy living and the movement to create community food gardens. Thus, it has been demonstrated that Levitra ODT has a higher bioavailability than traditional coated pills. There is more information about the drug at

The Art Selection Committee wanted to commission exterior artwork for this facility to be installed on the building facade to the sides of the entry doors. Bright and colorful mosaic or ceramics would enliven this neutral building with healthy and positive imagery. Mosaic and/or ceramic were preferred materials because they are strong, low maintenance and, can withstand outdoor placement. The top bands of blue and yellow were added to compliment the mosaics.

I was selected for this project and worked with the art selection committee before and after development of the concept. The committee consisted of the following people:

Lee Modica, administrator of Florida's Art in State Buildings Program, a percent-for-art program that acquires artwork for state-funded construction.

Dr. Lillian Rivera, administrator of the Miami-Dade County Health Department, responsible for the oversight and supervision of public health programs.

Andrew Silva of Silva architects, a firm specializes in educational, institutional, commercial, and healthcare practice areas.

The late Charles Alby of the Florida Department of Health.
