Overview
Enermodal is an engineering company which is the first triple LEED building headquartered on the Grand River in Ontario, CAN. They commissioned Deanna Marsh to create a three story wall piece that mirrored the grand river in front of their building that they committed to restore ½ mile of the riverfront as well. Her topographical design of the Grand River as it meanders about it flows through each of the four seasons.
Goals
To bring the restoration of the river indoors cascading down three floors, flowing through all four seasons of the year.
Process
Involved Deanna working with the company and their commitment to the environment, especially the grand river restoration. Deanna designs with flat glass which is cut, detail of smaller pieces of glass and frit to create the rock and flow of the river. She uses the Hang Your Glass Round stand-offs, 1 1/2" lengths off the wall and the HYG adhesive. Several sections are separately fired and hung accordingly.
