Overview
A sculpture honoring Gold Star Mothers with a life size bronze sculpture of a grieving woman holding a folded American flag. Red poppies, a symbol of remembrance, are laying in front of her on the granite.
Goals
The goal was to honor Gold Star Mothers at a cemetery with a bronze sculpture. To provide a place to remember and honor for those who lost sons and daughters in war.
Process
The sculpture was purchased by the City of Edmond, OK for Gracelawn Cemetery. I worked closely with several city members during the creation and installation of the sculpture.
