Client: Punta Diamante Hotel

Overview

The client wanted the piece to become the focal point of this lobby, I made the design based on the ceiling lighting therefore the pieces are like spades spinning around the centre to create an effect for the viewer like always in movement. The diameter of this piece is 320 cm and the height is 300 cm made out of around 1200 fused glass pieces and steel wire.

Goals

Definitively the piece became one of the most important details to welcome the guests to this hotel and that was the challenge the owner was looking for when he commissioned the work. Now the piece is becoming one of the icons within the city where has been installed due to is the very first one made out of fused glass in Colombia.

Process

The owner, the designer and all the team where giving all the support to accomplish the project and every technical detail was analyzed and decided as a team.
