Client: Daughters Diner

Overview

These three acrylic-on-canvas pieces were hand painted to mimic the many freehanded patterns that Nicole makes. The wiggle designs represent the freedom of sketching without thought, however are carefully and precisely painted to showcase flat bright colors and crisp lines, in turn showing a balance of thought and thoughtlessness.

They will be showcased at Daughter’s Diner in downtown Oakland.

Goals

My goal in my of my paintings are a meditative approach in allowing my mind and hand to move without overthinking the outcome. It is an experimentation to see if the mind can create a work of art without thought.
