Mixed-media public park sculpture. Bozeman, Montana – Montana State University.
This project was a student generated installation to reinvigorate a park that had gone into disuse for quite some time. Funds were raised by the students for the commission. Bradley Designs, LLC designed, fabricated, and installed this concrete, mild + stainless steel, and polycarbonate acrylic sculpture during summer break.
Base is composed of 18″ x 18″ mild steel plate. This is mounted to a concrete plinth and was intended to weather and stain the concrete over time, like roots of a tree securing itself to place. The Sculpture is 96″ tall.
The goals of this projects were directed by the student group who approached Bradley Designs, LLC. They wished to have the garden's history be recognized while imbuing new life and inspiration.
Bradley Designs worked closely with Anvil House to ensure that all fabrication and installation details were addressed prior to beginning the work. The team worked incredibly well together.
This exterior sculpture has stood up to the diverse weather we receive in Montana. It has aged and settled itself into the garden as hoped for.
