Sandy Rosen Art created over 25 limited edition prints for a suburban Phila behavioral hospital. Artwork was created for the new EAC wing including the patient rooms, hallways and examination rooms. The prints were done on syntra and met safety compliance issues. The goal was to add light and airiness to the contemporary artwork while depicting the tranquil beauty of the hospital's surroundings. Creating a calm ambience for the patients' extended stay helps diminish the sterile coolness of their space. This helps with their recovery as well as emotional well being.

The integration of art with the key principles of recovery helped to convey the transformational steps needed for patient recovery. The "zen" setting of the hospital's newly created "Serenity" Pond was reflected in the continuity of the chosen artwork for the patient rooms.

The final phase was meeting with the EAC hospital team and specifically Laura Longstreet. The collaboration, reflected in the body of work created and printed within a short period of time, was extremely well received by patients and staff alike.

Additional Information

The project, immense in scope, was completed within 10 weeks from the initial meetings/conception to final production/completion while saving the hospital $ 15,000.00. Challenging but immensely rewarding, it all began with a wonderful client and ended with an open house gala! Guests included physicians, Healthcare staff, administration and peers who lauded the artwork and pond as hugely successful! A fantastic network of professional vendors helped deliver within a specific timeframe and budget.
