Overview

Butcher-block style lounge chair on a welded steel frame. Using 154 pieces of wenge, walnut, laurel, and cherry wood.

Goals

Create a simple chair that complements a classic postmodern design.

Process

The collaboration was really open, which was great. Simply to make a stool that fit within a specified aesthetic. The materials and design were all up to me. The legs went through a few iterations, but ultimately keeping it simple, yet solid, was the best pairing.
