Overview
Century City Sculpture 2015 is a year long temporary exhibition of public sculpture throughout Century City, California. Jeffery Laudenslager has installed 3 large kinetic sculptures on the median of Avenue of the Stars.
Goals
The goal of installing these three of kinetic sculptures along Avenue of the Stars is intended to reflect the contemporary elegance of the area and the dynamic character that is Century City. Arched elements of each of the sculptures refers to the city's CC logo and motion to its considerable power and kinetic energy.
Process
The Century City Sculpture 2015 is organized by the Sculpture Committee of the Century City Chamber of Commerce Arts Council and the Century City Arts & Culture Foundation, which are committed to promoting a diverse and inspiring cultural environment that enriches the lives of Century City’s residents, visitors and workforce.
Additional Information
Avenue of the Stars will feature Jeffery Laudenslager’s three soaring, 22-foot kinetic works of titanium and stainless steel. Propelled by air and wind currents, the sculptures create unlimited shapes and forms.
