Overview
The ‘CACTI’ series takes inspiration from six native Californian plants that I am so fond of (Saguaro, Barrel, Yucca, Agave, Nopales, Organ Pipe) and reinterprets the form.
Goals
The goals for this project was to integrate the artwork into a sculpture garden located in West Hollywood. It required planning conversations with city and public art agencies, particularly as there were specific parameters the artwork had to meet. The series was so well received, the city decided to keep the sculptures up for a year past their original exhibition period.
