Overview

Two 10 foot tall by 8 foot wide olive trees. Cast bronze and fabricated bronze branches, leaves and olives. Painted. The trunks and thick branches leading up each tree were cast in bronze. I then welded the sections together and added silicon bronze bars shaped and bent into flowing branches. There are over 900 leaves. The leaves were plasma cut, ground, pressed twice, shaped, welded and painted.

Goals

To have the trees fit in over the wall fountain and to have enough leaves to make sure the trees looked full.

Process

The client gave an indication of what they wanted. I then gathered pictures and drew a drawing of the proposed sculptures.
