Overview

We as human can only survive by leaning on one another but as everything was locked down, we were isolated from our loved ones, friends, and communities.in the face of COVID -19 is something that hit us so hard and is something did not epect but one thing that keep us going is HOPE is project is a symbol of a light that will know, we confident, assure ours selves that it will be better and the cure will be find and we all will be able to hold , hug, kiss, embrace one another again. No matter how hard, difficult is it as long we stsy together we will over come.
Dimension 72 x 16 x 72 inches , materials steel metal laser cut and powder coated.

Goals

The project is to serve as healing tool, was create with abstract small figure cut with laser which represent peoiple, the colors blue represent Hope, the silver and the multicolor lights that create shadows at night when is on bright stsrt , oppotunity that in the dark we will shine no matter what face us or we face. we shall prevail.

Process

The project wass part sponsor by the city of Ausyin Cultural art economic dividon of TEMPO 2021, It was waterjet cut on 16 and 14 gauge s\teel metal, then the inside structure was fabricate, weld, , then it was powder coated and all is screwed. and it was installed at HOWSON BRANCH LIBRARY IN AUSTIN TEXAS.
