Botanica is being used to water the gardens in the Discovery Gardens. It will be used in their educational programming for sustainable water use Each large RainKeep has its own name, derived from the story of its purpose, the science behind its meaning, or materials used. Placed in public spaces such as community gardens and town squares, these stand alone RainKeeps each feature a large recycled aluminum tank that can harvest up to 1,000 gallons of rainwater. Visitors are enchanted by its beauty and story of environmental resilience.
Florida Botanical gardens wanted a sculpture that would act as a Beacon to visitors walking through the gardens, offering a place to gather .
The collaboration with Coyle and Caron went very smoothly, deciding on colors and forms best suited for the flora and fauna of the area.
