Client: Red Oak Brewery

Overview

Painting to enhance the building in the BierGarten of Red Oak Brewery. 120” x 28; It is painted on brushed aluminum with a powder coating. Weight 175 lbs. The paint is Liquitex acrylic, guaranteed for 150 years with an acrylic varnish, topped off with Soluvar for outdoor protection.

Goals

The panel was to hang above the window and doorway entrance to the Wursthaus.

Process

I researched Bavaria, which is the subject and prepared a color sketch for the client's approval.

Additional Information

The panel is divided into three “columns”. On the right is Bavaria in the summer and on the left winter. The middle panel divided by drawings of the same Bavarian evergreen: on the left – summer; on the right – winter. The middle is filled in with details. The tree is repeated on the right in the winter scene.
