Overview
Client requested a large (6′ x 3′) bas relief panel in kiln glass using blue colors.
Goals
The artwork was to have a geological reference relating to the energy company's work. It was to coordinate with the artwork throughout the office space but be unique and the focus in the board room.
Process
The collaboration was primarily between the artist and the art consultant. The art consultant provided a broad and fairly general brief for the artwork and I (the artist) suggested options which were collaboratively developed and agreed upon.
Additional Information
The imagery comes from geological survey maps used in gas and oil exploration, reinterpreted in glass.
