Lightlink Lighting
Overview
The Arsenal Suspension Art lighting was created for the 150th AIA Convention. It was created with 18g stainless steel and an uninterrupted line of fluorescent lime acrylic edgily via 2 T5 fluorescent lights and 3 halogen downlights which are wirelessly and independently controlled via remote. 2.5″ x 12″ x 93″ suspended via braided stainless cable.
Goals
The goal was to create an original design, ultra thin-line, minimalist lighting suspension to ultimately be installed in an architect designed MCM ranch home without it appearing out of place.
Process
The collaboration came about when Lightlink was commissioned by a lighting installation company to design and build an original design art lighting suspension to work in an AIA tour home as well as another residential space afterwards. It fit both bills very well.
Additional Information
It was very well received by the clients and national press, including EnLIGHTenment magazine, MetalMag, San Antonio Express-News etc.
