Overview
The installation is comprised of fifteen hand blown glass “Lima” vessels. The “Lima” vessel is a trademark design of the Jeff Goodman Studio line of hand blown glass. The basic design of each vessel is essentially the same but they are varied greatly in scale, proportion and line. The quantity and size of the vessels (1 to 1.5 meters tall) were scaled to the design of the lighted base and the overall relationship to the room. The glass was colored to unite the vessels into one dynamic arrangement and to tie into the overall theme of the interior design.
Goals
Design and create dramatic centerpiece for the Air Canada, Maple Leaf Lounge, located at the Frankfurt Airport, Frankfurt Germany.
Process
This project is a collaboration between Toronto based firms Jeff Goodman Studio and Dialogue38.
