Client: AC Marriot

Overview

A Garden of Stars draws upon my continued interest in the connections between humanity, nature and the cosmos. The blossoms appear to be cultivated from the seeds of the cosmos and intricately arranged to form a celestial garden. The sculpture was commissioned by the AC Marriott, Sunnyvale, California. It is constructed of bronze, steel, paint. Dimensions are 7x11x0.5 feet.

Goals

AC Marriott was looking for an artwork to transform a lobby space for it's newly constructed hotel. The piece needed to integrate into the contemporary setting, engage and inspire interest.
