Client: JCC Greater Buffalo
Location: Buffalo, United States
Completion date: 2018
Overview
The commission was for Buffalo's largest community center heavily used by all religions, age groups and multi cultural ethnicities. The wall relief is permanently installed at the entrance of the building and fabricated out of low maintenance one half inch thick stainless steel.
Goals
The goal of the composition was to create a welcoming sculpture for the hundreds of people who daily use the building. The image of pathways leading to the house is a welcoming symbol that everyone relates to as well as the doves of peace, the menorah and the olive branch of peace.
Process
During the design process, fabrication and installation I worked closely with the architect, contractor and director of the community center.
