Tracy Ferron is Exec Director of Life on Earth Art, a California-based non-profit working to heal trauma and division in society by fusing community artmaking, art therapy, and activism with touring large-scale art experiences. LOEA offers transformative healing work to schools, in social services and public and correctional institutions. Ferron’s work illuminates social injustices begging for awareness, compassion and action. Her Winged Hearts graced protests for incarcerated rights at San Quentin Prison and the Sacramento Women’s March. Museum installations explored medical experimentation (2018), murder of global activists (2019), and community artmaking celebrating loved ones for Día de los Muertos (2021). Tracy created Unbound (2021-22), a 80-foot sculpture of hundreds of Winged Hearts flying free from a cage in an innovative partnership with 70 therapists and hundreds of patients at one of California’s largest psychiatric hospitals. Tracy earned her MA in Engaged Humanities at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Presentations at: Burning Man (2014), Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies (2017), Google Headquarters (2018), Northern California Art Therapy Association (2020).
