Stephen Galloway is a San Francisco based artist who has been developing large-scale photography and public artworks since the early 2000s. His work examines and manipulates our experience of the natural world, letting nature impact and inspire our lives.  He accomplishes this by removing or changing the context we experience nature in, creating the feeling and illusion of a different nature. The camera allows his work to carry forward the presence of actual nature; his compositions allow him to talk about how we create meaning of that nature.
